CloneMedicalOfficer
This is a Class 1 article.

Clone medical officers, also called medical officer clones,[1] were clone troopers specifically trained to heal wounded soldiers. They worked alongside various medical droids.[2]

Overview[]

Clone medical officers were clones who were trained to heal soldiers. They operated on large spaceships such as Haven-class medical stations and on large cruisers. They differed from clone trooper medics, however, because they were not deployed on the battlefield nor trained as much in combat. They also had different uniforms.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

Clone medical officers were not deployed on the battlefield, so they did not have armor.

Phase I[]

From the beginning of the war to around 20 BBY,[3] the medical officer's uniform was Phase I. It consisted of a white suit with a bar on the left side. A patch with three dots was placed on their left arm. A maroon belt, maroon gloves, and tall maroon boots came with the white suit and white pants. It bore a close resemblence to clone naval officer uniforms.[2]

Phase II[]

Phase II suit

Phase II was issued out just after Phase II clone trooper armor was issued. It consisted of a white tunic and pants. On the suit was a medical insignia in red on the right, and on the left was a bar with three red dots. Along with it came a pair of maroon boots, a maroon belt, and a white hat. No gloves were included. Red stripes were placed on the hat, suit, and pants.[4]

It once again was similar to naval officer uniforms.[5]

Equipment[]

Clone medical officers used various medical equipment in their line of work, along with data pads.[2] The insignia with three red dots present in badge form in Phase I and bar form in Phase II represented their medical specialty.[2] It is unknown what the bar in the Phase I design and large red insignia in the Phase II design meant.
