Clutch was a clone trooper commander that served in the Grand Army of the Republic.
History[]
Early Life[]
Clutch was born in 32 BBY on Kamino.[1][2] The trooper was bred as for a leadership position and received training for such. Clutch was given the rank of Captain,[3] but he eventually was promoted to Commander.
Battle of Thustra[]

Approximately 17 months after the First Battle of Geonosis, Clutch and a battalion of clone troopers were sent to the planet of Thustra.[4] On the planet, there was a growing rebellion, and it was hoped that sending a military force to the planet would quell all thoughts of rebellion. Unfortunately, the assumptions were proven false; by dawn, the Republic sustained many casualties, including Jedi Generals Tyr and Tyffix.[4] Following the death of their masters, Commanders Cal and Pix were given control of the battalion. Jedi General Yoda would go on to the planet, hoping to help gain Republic control, once again. Yoda and Cal were hoping to negotiate with King Alaric. During their mission, Clutch remained by Pix's side, as her second-in-command.[4]
Clutch would take command of the battalion, when they stormed the capital city. He directed the clone troopers to concentrate their efforts on capturing the King's palace. According to Senator Navi, the capture of the palace and its' occupants would destabilize their rebellion.[4] However, the attack backfired; King Alaric ultimately killed himself and the Republic's attack strengthened the resistance's morale. The planet was ultimately lost, and Clutch and Pix were present when Navi was arrested for treason.[4]
Armor and Equipment[]
Clutch possessed Phase I red colored armor. He was also armed with a DC-15A blaster rifle. Clutch also owned a set of macrobinoculars.[4]
Other[]
- Despite being ranked as a commander, he possessed red armor; the armor typically possessed by a captain. However, it is possible that he was promoted to commander and he possessed the red armor by his own personal taste.[3]
