Redeye was the name of a clone trooper who served in the Clone Wars. Part of the 501st Legion, he was stationed on the Coronet in 21 BBY[3].
History[]
Redeye was sent on the ship Coronet in 21 BBY[3] to protect Duchess Satine Kryze from being attacked. He and the other troopers were stationed in a cargo bay, where they looked around for any signs of an attack. Redeye was sent to a section with R2-D2. As he searched, he was attacked by an assassin probe droid and killed. His fellow trooper, Mixer, was also killed by the droid. Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi were sent to investigate the sudden disappearance of the troopers. The probe droid used Redeye's limp body as a decoy, and threw it at General Skywalker, but the probe was destroyed.[2]

- It may have been possible that Redeye had a fear of the dark. Mixer joked around to him that the cargo bay was dark, and later, Redeye was shown being worried when he saw something moving into the cargo bay. The droid turned out to be R2-D2, and Redeye exclaimed that, "It's not funny!", moments before being killed by the assassin probe.[2]
