The Republic military base was the headquarters of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

History[]

Around 20 BBY, Letta Turmond was kept inside the cells because of her association with the bombing of the Jedi Temple. She called in Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and spoke to her. She turned up dead, and when Commander Fox of the Coruscant Guard found her, along with several clone troopers with lightsaber wounds, he had no choice but to arrest Ahsoka. She escaped, and was tracked by ARF troopers with hounds, but to no avail.

The Republic base was a large building containing several parts. In the middle, there was a large plaza with a flag in the center, and behind it was the entrance to the base. On the way to the entrance, there was a large piece of rock containing the names of all the troopers who died in the First Battle of Geonosis. On the front, it had two large hubs on the sides of the pathway to the base, bordered with Y-wings. In the building, two large and thin spires shot up into the sky, and two turrets protected it. Some other surrounding vehicles included Venator-class star destroyers, Acclamator-class assault ships, LAAT/i gunships, and HAV Turbo Tanks. Inside the building, prison cells contained important prisoners of war. Some of these prisoners include Wat Tambor, Poggle the Lesser, Whorm Loathsom, and a tactical droid, as seen on video cameras set for surveillance.
