Jay, also known as RC-1135, was a clone commando that served in the Grand Army of the Republic and in the unit Theta Squad.[2]. He, and the other commandos, went through vigorous training. Jay, like many other clones, was first deployed on Geonosis. There came a point in their mission where Sergeant Taler ordered Darman to stay behind with the E-web, while he ordered Jay and Vin to follow him.
The three commandos were overrun and eventually killed by Geonosians, leaving Darman the lone surviving member of Theta Squad. The squad's assignment was reassigned to Delta Squad.[3] The three commandos deaths haunted Darman for years afterward.[4][5]

Early Life[]
Jay, designated RC-1135, was born in 32 BBY on the planet Kamino. He was assigned to a squad called Theta Squad. He and his squad were trained by Kal Skirata, who also served as a father figure to the squad.
The squad were trained in the form of Clone commandos; special forces for the Grand Army of the Republic alongside Advanced Recon Commandos, Covert operations clone troopers and Clone shadow troopers. Jay and the squad were able to complete their training and manage to remain intact throughout training, unlike some squads, such as Lambda Squad.[2]
First Battle of Geonosis[]
Jay and the rest of Theta Squad were deployed to the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, alongside a majority of the clone forces available. The squad was deployed to destroy droid foundries in the catacombs of Geonosis.[2] However, his brother Darman, was assigned to hold back with the e-Web, while he, Taler, and Vin continued down the tunnel towards their objective.
Jay, Vin, and Taler were killed by Geonosian warriors that overwhelmed them. Delta Squad was reassigned to destroy the droid foundries, while Darman remained in position with the e-Web until the end of the battle.[2][3] After the deaths of Jay, Taler, and Vin, Darman would never forget them, despite being reassigned to Omega Squad.[2][4][5]
