Riot clone troopers were shock troopers that kept peace on the capital Coruscant. They had special training in order to control crowds with authority.
They often helped the regular police when needed for backup or to hunt for dangerous fugitives. They were allowed to ask anyone if they had seen a fugitive and if so, to report them to the proper authorities.
History
The riot clone troopers were members of the Coruscant Guard who resided in barracks spread across the Galactic City on the planet of Coruscant. They were specially trained to use nonlethal weapons and were often deployed to hunt down dangerous fugitives.
Armor and Equipment
They used a tough riot shield made of plastoid and a nonlethal stun baton so they could stun civilians in times of an actual riot. Their armor had red and black markings.
